General Restoration/Powder Coating Warranty & Disclaimer: Although we do our best to give you an accurate estimate before accepting any job certain conditions may arise; unexpected things may arise during the restoration process that could allow for additional labor and materials that is otherwise unknown or undisclosed to us by the customer. Additional charges may apply. We are not responsible for any irregularities in the powder coat finish due any unforeseen impurities, current state or quality of metal as a consequence of its age, construction or fabrication. The powder coat process acts as a protective finish only and does not warranty in any way the structural soundness or future performance of your metal part and/or mechanism. Generally under normal wear and tear you can expect our finish to last a minimum of 3-5 years, unless otherwise noted. There may be some conditions that we may not be able to guarantee any warranty at all.

We have two ovens that are the biggest on Maui!

 Oven 1 has internal dimensions 4’6”wide x 7’ height x 5’ deep.

Oven 2 as internal dimensions 4’6” wide x 10’ height x 20′ deep. It is big enough to do large railings, truck frames or racking many parts at once.

Turnaround is depending on the size and scope of the project, our current workload, and if your requested colors are in stock. Two coat processes, primer coats and candy translucence’s require longer times due to the complexity of the application. If your part needs sand blasting and metal prep please allow even more time. It is always best to contact us and make an appointment for the fastest service.

The cleaner the material, the easier it is to powder coat. Additional charges may apply if more needs to be done to salvage materials that are worn.

We cannot remove chrome. It is the client’s responsibility to get chrome removed in order for us to move forward with our 5-step process.

When inquiring about wheel restoration pricing it’s important to note that pricing can vary widely. Basic single coat applications and colors generally are cheaper, whereas, 2 stage coating can be almost double that primarily because it gets baked twice. Prices for rims in Hawaii can be on the higher side as the cost of doing business is more than compared to the mainland. Most rims come to us needing full-restoration which includes chemical stripping, sandblasting, coating and powder. Our range is from $80-$100 with some moped rims around $60 for in-stock colors like black, white or silver. Larger rims go up from there and will range between $120-$250+ or more depending on the customer’s rims size and finish specs. This could be anything from large rims with single stage powder applications, 2-coat systems using primers, illusions and clears to two-tone effects which require taping off to achieve the desired effect. 

We accept cash, check, and all major credit cards. A deposit is required for each project; however, the percentage of each deposit is dependent on the scope of work.

Many automotive and motorcycle parts have areas that should not be coated due to threading. We will mask off and plug those places prior to the coating process. Extra charges may apply.

Powder coating is not like paint.  It does not air dry.  It is cured by heat.  Generally a part is cured for 15-20 minutes at 400 degrees Fahrenheit.  Once out of the oven and the part is cool to touch, you can put it in service.

Yes, if they are small you can mail them to us via USPS. For larger parts we offer free pick up and delivery to and from Hawaiian Air Cargo and Young Bros. up to 500 lbs.  Before shipping, all parts must be clean and dry. Oily parts can be      degreased with brake cleaner or other brands like Castrol Super Clean or Simple Green…the main goal is to make sure the oil is removed. Prior to shipping, please remove all bearings, bushings, labels, plastic, rubber, seals, and weights from your parts. Nonmetallic parts cannot tolerate the heat that is generated during the powder coating process. Please make arrangements with our office ahead of time.

No, we are not a mechanic, service station or auto body shop.  If you want your parts done you must bring them to us completely disassembled and ready for the restoration process.  We do work with other local businesses in the area if you cannot do this and offer free pick up and delivery at no extra charge. Please contact us directly for pricing and to get help in making arrangements through one of our approved local service suppliers.

Yes, but we do not do any wrenching or disassembly.  You must bring them in with pistons, seals, bleeder valves, and boots removed.

Yes! We can coordinate shipping parts from outer islands to Maui to get powder coated.
